Shopping in Stafford. Re-set tablet to factory settings. I had been having trouble with the maps on my tablet. Whenever I asked for directions from my current location to somewhere else it told me how to get to 'Directions Ltd' in Towcester. Now I can get to where ever I want to go. Sorted out the porthole curtains.

Shopping in Rugeley, got doorknob. Washed the four spare porthole curtains.


3rd

Day off. Swapped out washed and un-washed porthole curtains.


4th

Shopping in Stafford. Washed spare porthole curtains.

Painted the bedroom divider. A really awesome sunset over the gatehouse at Tixall Wide.

Shopping in Stafford, got some kidneys for dinner.

Got diesel leak fixed (£42.40) did the usual at the facilities.

Shopping in Stafford (I like shopping). Did trial spreadsheet for my accounts.


9th Penkridge 9 3/4 miles, 6 locks.

Called off at Midland Chandlers for some paint and some sealing strip for Olive. A good days travelling. CRT have been working hard on dredging the channel and keeping the weeds at bay. Progress considerably easier than last time I navigated this canal, especially between Tixall Lock and Acton Trussel.

Still in Penkridge but a different part. Did Penkridge Market which has been held on and off since 1244, and purchased three steel wedges.

Day off working on man pages database. man is short for manual and refers to the system of detailed instructions for all the commands available in Linux.

Trimmed metal panel for Morse control cover for Olive to stop water getting into the bilges.

Solar panels hit 20 amps charge today.

Did the usual at the facilities.

Shopping at Morrison's. Attempted to fix diesel leak (the previous attempt by an engineer not successful) - will find out tomorrow if it worked.


19th

Replaced fuel pipes etc and re-assembled. Will check on the leak next time the boards are up.


21st Autherley 7 miles.

Shopping at Morrison's again.


26th Compton

Sold a wooden deer. The guy thought it looked just like his whippet, there's no accounting for taste. So now I have made two more animals, a dachshund and a staffie - will have to see if they sell.


27th Wightwick 1½ miles, 3 locks

Named the Dachshund Roger and the Staffie Danny, priced up at £10 each. Visit to Wightwick Manor, really quite interesting and well worth the visit.


28th Wombourne 5 miles, 7 locks.


30th Stewpony 5 miles, 8 locks
