5th Hawk Green On the way to Bollington.

I have decided to make and fit a dodger to the back of Forty Two. A dodger is the bit of canvas that goes around the back of the boat to help keep the wind off the legs while travelling and to stop D'fer jumping on and off the boat at will. To do this I will need a piece of tarpaulin some lacing hooks and some ball bungees.

6th Bollington

7th Bollington

Collected post from the post office. My prescription has arrived but the pharmacy cannot fulfil it till Monday.

8th Bollington

Took all the double curtains down and replaced them with a single curtain. Now I only have to draw the curtains to one side rather than both sides and they take up far less room and let in more light when open.

9th Sutton Hall 4 miles

Washed curtains, swapped the little rings for bigger rings at either end of the curtains so that they can be un-hooked. Collected medication from pharmacy.

10th Lyme Green 1 mile

Shopping in Macclesfield. In the market there was a haberdashers where I looked at needle threaders. One in particular looked quite good and I spoke to the proprietor explaining that the needle threaders I had been using kept breaking. He told me that the ones I was looking for would last a lifetime. I immediately purchase two of them. Afterwards I thought to myself that if each one would last a lifetime why on earth would I need two. The signal booster that I had ordered arrived and when fitted worked perfectly.

11th Lyme Green

Went shopping in Leek and got some more of my favourite cheese. Lacing hooks and tarpaulin rings arrived. Lacing rings are little hooky things that are screwed onto the side of the boat to hold the little bungee cords that hold tonneau covers on. Cut the tarpaulin in half and glued and sewed a piece of rope into the cut seam. Fitted the rings. Purchased the correct screws to fix the lacing rings to the side of the boat.

12th Lyme Green

Engine service at 4080 hours running, this is a 750 hour service. Fitted two lacing hooks, now I need some ball bungees before fitting the rest.
