The light from the sun has travelled 93 million
miles to reach Earth - and I stopped it.
1st to 13th

Hung around the Banbury area for a couple of weeks. Valda, my travelling companion's sister visited on the 12th and I had my cataract operation on the 13th.

13th

Walked up to the hospital with my travelling companion in time for the op, which went really smoothly and painlessly.
Couldn't wait to set off.

15th to 28th 34 miles 17 locks 1 lift bridge

Cruised along to Cropredy during the course of the day. My eye held up well and I could almost see everything. Both lenses have been set of nearly driving quality but I asked that I would still have to wear spectacles as I am so used to having them in front of me protecting my eyes that I just know if I haven't got any on I will get grinding sparks and the like in my eyes.
Spent the rest of the month taking a leisurely cruise up the South Oxford, along the joining bit of the Grand Union and up the North Oxford to Brinklow, one of our favourite mooring spots.
